Acupuncture is a common therapeutic intervention derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). All of our naturopathic doctors have completed hundreds of hours of training in acupuncture as part of their naturopathic medicine degrees in the form of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Acupuncture involves the use of small, sterile, non-reusable needles as part of a more comprehensive program or for acute conditions. At NatCan, acupuncture is performed by our licensed acupuncturist, ALL OF OUR NATUROPATHIC DOCTORS as well as members of our physiotherapy and massage team (*only RMT performing Contemporary Acupuncture is Sheri Robinson). Unlike NDs and acupuncturists, chiropractors, physiotherapists and massage therapists perform medical/contemporary acupuncture, a system that approaches treatment from a more physical paradigm and not constitutional.

Cupping:
Cupping is an ancient component of TCM treatments. It is particularly effective for addressing muscle or chest congestion. Cupping involves the use of glass or plastic cups that are placed on the body to help increase circulation. This treatment is offered by our licensed acupuncturist, both Drs. Sabrina Perfetto and Stefania Iovine, ND and our registered massage therapists.

Hello, my name is Alisa and I am a Registered Acupuncturist (R. Ac.) thrilled to be a part of the NatCan team. I have always had a passion for holistic healing and the restorative benefits that accompany holistic health. My interest for holistic remedies became prominent at a young age. I was a competitive dancer for over 10 years and had sustained various injuries throughout this time period. Going through these experiences intrigued my desire for total-body healing; taking into account a person as a whole and their physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being. This is a philosophy I live by in order to provide my patients with the best optimal care, balance, and harmony so that one may live their life to their full potential.

I am deeply committed to treating patients through the holistic and ancient Chinese Medicine ideology. Balancing the energy forces of the body by utilizing Acupuncture, Gua Sha, Cupping, and other techniques are the methods I exhibit to equalize one’s vital Qi (energy) in the body. My goal is to stabilize the energy, Yin, and Yang that follow along specific channels and meridians in our body in order to prevent disease and attain the best health possible.

Furthermore, I have earned my Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology with Distinction, as well as a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from the University of Guelph-Humber in which I gained extensive knowledge regarding the kinetics of the human body and its functions of movement. Upon graduation, I went on to pursue further education at the Toronto School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and that is where I facilitated my passion for holistic medicine. I successfully wrote and passed the Pan-Canadian Licensing Examinations and I am happy to call myself a proud Acupuncturist registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. ☺ I am ecstatic to support you on your healing journey in becoming the best version of yourself!

Hi, I’m Adelie

I am a mother, healer, meditation teacher, yoga instructor and a guide for those who are looking to know thyself deeper.

My mission is to create world peace. I am achieving this through showing others the way that it was shown to me. For many years, I’ve been working with people of all walks of life, by helping them to empower their lives.

It starts within.

Here’s the path that showed me the way…

It all began while I was searching for light in the darkest time of my life.

I had experienced loss, pain and deep depression, along with severe anxiety and trauma. I had tried everything, but nothing was working. I eventually found my way to a deeper path of knowledge with the Modern Mystery School and from there my life began to change for the better.

I had learned how to breathe, how to slow down, which led me to my power within. After a year of studying Metaphysics, I had found my ultimate purpose through this deeper path of knowledge.

Today, I am here to guide you towards your purpose in life and to help you heal along the way. Healing yourself is not a race, it is a journey and wherever you are in your life, I am happy to meet you there.

Let’s connect!

Hi there! My name is Laura Louise Persichetti! I am excited to be part of the NatCan Team and offer services that will support your journey with all the amazing practitioners you are working with here. I am a Registered Psychotherapist, trained Life Coach, and Spiritual Guide. This multidisciplinary training allows me to support individuals mentally, emotionally, physically, and energetically; addressing the individual as a whole. As we have come to understand, our thoughts are energy, our words are energy, and our emotions are energy. Not addressing energy when addressing these aspects of ourselves is to miss a valuable component. My desire for many, many years was to discover what truly brings happiness in life. I traveled all around the world, studied with many different teachers, and explored a variety of different cultures. In my discovery, I realized happiness was not the answer. The truth is, we are destined to discover JOY. It is my honour and true joy to support people in discovering this joy in their life as well. My practice has always been about looking at the individual person as a whole: mind, body, soul, and spirit. You can make all the “right” healthy choices, but if you don’t address your mind and emotions, you’ll be missing a major component. Just like you can talk out your feelings, but if you don’t address your physical health and body, you’ll be missing a huge component there too. NATCAN has always been an incredible place to look at all areas of your life for health and wellness. I’m excited to be part of your healthcare team to help you conquer your mind and emotions, align you to your goals, support you in your relationships, and watch you excel when you bring all the pieces together. I’ve studied with many amazing teachers and professionals around the world, and have developed a multidisciplinary practice with a variety of experience from supporting people in hospice, to CEOs scaling their business. Life doesn’t come with a handbook. Having a professional in your corner can make all the difference in your health, relationships, family, business and overall fulfillment in life. We can book 1:1 virtual psychotherapy sessions and we can book 1:1 in-person sessions to help you balance and align your energy structure through activations and energy healing modalities. I look forward to meeting you through NatCan and working together through psychotherapy sessions or individual energy healing sessions.

Anthony completed a 4 year masters program in Osteopathy involving 4200 hours of schooling, assessment, and clinical experience. Prior to this, he graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology and also gained an exercise physiology certificate with the Health and Fitness Federation of Canada. Here he gained a great understanding of the different exercise systems of the body. Treating during all four years of school and after, he has completed thousands of treatments on the widest range of bodies. From old to young, from healthy to sick, from athletic to non – athletic, the great science of Osteopathy is beneficial for all. He is very interested in the complete body approach of Osteopathy, and how the science has allowed him to look at anatomy in a complete different way. The first principal of Osteopathy is “the body is a unit” and the body never ceases to amaze him with its healing capabilities when it is functioning optimally.

The mind and body cannot be separated, and the great science of Osteopathy has allowed him to help people with their mental health by allowing all the great nutrients of the body get to the brain, and all the waste products leave the brain.

His main philosophy is that every patient Is different, and all patients need to be treated based on the assessment which was done on them. Along with the right nutrition, sleep, and exercise, Osteopathy allows the blood, lymph, and nervous system to do its job to the fullest. His goal is to allow your body to achieve its optimal health by gentle techniques to the body’s muscles and joints.
